SINGLE WINDOW FOR FOREIGN TRADE
Currently, the Technical Notes module of the VUCE system provides the facility to companies in the foreign trade sector to carry out the previous processes of import, export and re-export that consist of controls and technical regulations applied by 16 government institutions to safeguard human, animal, plant and environmental welfare, the above through the electronic transmission of the FAD.
These processes that are carried out through the Technical Notes module of the VUCE include electronic payments, inspections at different points of the country, prior registrations of products subject to technical controls and, on previously programmed occasions, automatic approvals without the intervention of public officials 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
LEGAL BASIS:
Article 2, paragraph e), Reform of the Regulations of the Foreign Trade Single Window System established in Decree No. 43479 of 2022 states that one of the objectives of the VUCE is "To implement the necessary mechanisms so that previous foreign trade procedures are carried out through compatible electronic means". Likewise, Article 6 of the Regulations of the Foreign Trade Single Window System established in Decree No. 33452 states the following:
“— In order to carry out previous foreign trade procedures that require a permit (technical note) in accordance with the regulations in force, it is necessary to use the Foreign Trade Single Window's (Ventanilla Única de Comercio Exterior) Form of Authorisation for Destocking (FAD) (...)”.
